Stormwater Management / Site Drainage

We are well versed in the field of storm water management and site drainage. Such considerations are present in all of our designs and are becoming increasingly important as the state moves to stricter regulations, requiring nutrient offsets, pre vs. post development runoff matching, and bio-retention on river basins beyond just the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico. Our staff has experience with stream restoration, wetland delineation and mitigation, and the many challenges faced with urban stormwater design.

Our Stormwater Management & Site Drainage Projects

  • Town of Wake Forest Manual of Specifications, Standards and Design – Town of Wake Forest – Prior to starting Stocks Engineering, Mike Stocks researched and developed the Stormwater Management and Design Criteria Module for The Town of Wake Forest. Responsibility included writing the design criteria and formatting in a user-friendly format easy for engineers and non-technical individuals to follow.
  • Town of Nashville Drainage, Nashville, NC – Performed comprehensive analysis and feasibility study of town’s stormwater system to evaluate problem areas and prioritize maintenance and new construction projects. Also developed design drawings to implement specific improvements.
